OG Anunoby delivered a commanding performance as the New York Knicks notched their 50th win of the season, defeating the Phoenix Suns 112-98 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night. Anunoby finished with a team-high 32 points, adding 6 rebounds and 3 assists, and made crucial plays in the second half to keep the Knicks in control.
With Jalen Brunson back in the lineup, New York showed renewed energy. Brunson tallied 15 points and 6 assists, helping orchestrate the offense and maintain the lead when Phoenix threatened. Forward Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 19 points and a dominant 13 rebounds, while Josh Hart filled the stat sheet with 7 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The Suns were paced by Mikal Bridges, who scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, but Phoenix struggled to keep pace after halftime. Anunoby ignited a decisive run in the third quarter, sinking back-to-back three-pointers and throwing down a highlight-reel dunk that pushed the Knicks further ahead.
Sunday's win marks the Knicks’ second consecutive 50-win season, underscoring their status as one of the East’s top teams heading into the playoffs. The victory also snapped a recent skid and gives the squad a confidence boost as they prepare for the postseason.
