Massive Brawl at Galveston Terminal Places 24 Carnival Cruise Passengers on "Do Not Sail" List
A chaotic brawl involving dozens of Carnival Jubilee passengers in Galveston terminal resulted in 24 people being banned from future cruises and one arrest for allegedly pushing an elderly passenger.

A violent altercation erupted at a cruise terminal in Galveston, Texas on Saturday, April 26, 2025, resulting in 24 Carnival cruise passengers being banned from future sailings with the company.

The massive brawl broke out in the baggage claim area as passengers were disembarking from the Carnival Jubilee following a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise. Footage of the incident shared on social media shows dozens of rowdy passengers involved in the chaotic scene, with several individuals seen punching and kicking another passenger while others scrambled to get out of their way.

According to reports, this terminal fight was not an isolated incident. Passengers reported that altercations had already occurred during the cruise itself, with fights allegedly breaking out on Decks 4 and 10 of the Carnival Jubilee, including mentions of property damage on Deck 10.

In a statement, a Carnival spokesperson confirmed: "The incident occurred in the debarkation area under the authority of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. The matter was turned over to law enforcement. We will not tolerate such behavior, and 24 people have been placed on our Do Not Sail list."

The Port of Galveston Police Department has arrested and charged one individual from Chicago with injury to an elderly individual. The suspect allegedly exchanged words with an elderly man and pushed him over, though the elderly person's luggage reportedly broke his fall.

One passenger commenting on the incident via social media described it as "the most ghetto cruise I've ever been on," adding that they wouldn't be traveling with Carnival "anytime in the near future."

Security personnel at the terminal appeared overwhelmed by the situation, with video showing a lone security officer initially attempting to intervene, followed by two additional officers who struggled to bring the situation under control.

The incident has gained significant attention, with footage of the brawl going viral and being reported by major news outlets including USA Today and the New York Post.
