NIT Rourkela to Lead CSAB 2025 Admissions for 31 NITs, IIITs, and Top Technical Institutes
NIT Rourkela has been appointed to coordinate CSAB 2025, managing admissions for 40,000 seats across 31 NITs, IIITs, and other leading institutes with new support initiatives for candidates.

NIT Rourkela has been appointed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India as the coordinating institute for the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) 2025 for admissions to undergraduate programs across the country’s premier technical institutions. This significant responsibility covers admissions to 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 1 Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), 3 Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), and 36 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) under the NIT+ System for the 2025–26 academic year.

As part of the 2025 cycle, over 14.5 lakh JEE (Main) qualified candidates will compete for approximately 40,000 seats at these highly sought-after institutions. The admission process, commencing in the first week of June, will feature six rounds of seat allocation, special rounds for unfilled seats, and inclusive measures such as multilingual support and assistance for PwD candidates to ensure accessibility and fairness for all participants.

Additionally, NIT Rourkela will coordinate the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) 2025, welcoming international students to the same network of institutes. The JoSAA 2025 joint seat allocation process, co-hosted by NIT Rourkela for the NIT+ system and IIT Kanpur for the IIT system, will streamline admissions and provide aspirants with a seamless and transparent counselling experience. Enhanced helpdesks and nationwide support centres will further assist candidates throughout the process, demonstrating a robust commitment to inclusivity and support for both Indian and foreign students.
